Employers can advertise jobs for free. Jobs are advertised:
. On our job board in the office in Fernie;
. In our job list which is displayed in our office and linked to other Employment Agencies in the East Kootenays;
. At a number of College Student Services display boards;
. At the Ministry of Human Resources office in Sparwood;
. At the Library in Elkford;
. On our website;
. In the Free Press under Elk Valley Job Seekers.

Employers can arrange to have resumes dropped off at our office to eliminate interruptions during your office hours. Employers may also have free use of our conference room to conduct interviews.

Our staff can discuss staffing issues you are having. While we are not business consultants, we are willing to offer input and if needed refer you to appropriate agencies.

We administer the Elk Valley Wage Subsidy Program. This program provides an incentive for employers to hire someone they would not normally hire because of lack of experience or skills for the offered position.

We administer the Opportunities Funds Program for Service Canada. If you are interesting in providing meaningful employment for a person with disabilities, the Opportunities Funds could provide incentives to your Company to do so.

We also coordinate Job Creation Partnerships. These are paid work experience opportunities for the purposes of skill development arranged by a community organization and jointly funded by Service Canada and the sponsoring organization.
