
The staff at Elk Valley Job Seekers is here to support you to find and maintain employment. At our Fernie location you can access job search resources and computers connected to the Internet. If you need to contact employers you can use the phone, fax, photocopier and email services. They are available free of charge for your job-related use. Labour market information on different employment sectors, an up-to-date job board, educational and training information and current government publications are all available in our library. An employment counsellor is available by appointment to answer your questions and walk you through your job search activities.
As professional career specialists we can introduce you to the most current and effective job search tools and techniques, provide information on local labour market opportunities, assist you with marketing to employers and provide access to training opportunities and programs and services available in your community.
Our services focus on you and your unique abilities, skills and interests and then we support you to connect to employment and training opportunities. We assist and support your individual Return to Work Action Plan, and help you to obtain employment and or training opportunities. Our service to you is based on respectful and welcoming principles that bridge the gap between unemployment and employment in an efficient and effective manner.
